Purpose Built AI Agents
Overview
As the first agents delivered through the platform, D&I Integrators built two purpose built assistants: a Takeoff agent giving estimating teams instant answers from construction plans, and an Executive Reporting agent giving leadership plain language access to sales and inventory data. Both run on the shared agent framework and are accessed through the central hub, proving out a model that can be repeated for future business needs.
The Challenge
Estimating teams had to manually review construction plans page by page to count building elements, extract schedules, and calculate areas and volumes, a slow process prone to human error. Meanwhile, leadership needed a way to get sales and inventory answers without relying on a dashboard, a query, or a request to the BI team.

Teams upload architectural and structural plan PDFs and ask questions in plain language. The agent reads every page, including drawings and tables, and answers with the specific sheet it drew from.

Leaders ask sales and inventory questions the way they would ask a BI team and get answers in seconds, with no dashboard, queries, or technical knowledge required.

The agent counts building elements, extracts schedules into clean tables, and calculates areas and volumes directly from the dimensions on the plans, work that previously meant manual page by page review.
